I live in the south, where the heat and humidity are tough to take when jogging in the summer months. Most other reflective garments are vests, which adds a layer of clothing - the last thing you want. As the days get shorter, I am running in low light in the A.M. and there are several blind curves and hills in my neighborhood. I feel safer with this highly reflective device. I also bought a clip -on Adventure light.
Night-gear had this on my front porch in 2 days!
